The Trading Coach

About James Poindexter

I'm a full-time currency trader, business owner and mentor. I have been a successful business owner, entrepreneur and high level competitive athlete for over 25 years.

I've been trading the Forex market for over six years, and I have developed a few simple strategies that have made trading the markets very profitable for me. Like many new traders, my early years of trading were not profitable. In short I had been trading without a PLAN or LOGICAL trading METHOD.

I offer coaching because it is my passion to help others be successful at trading without having to go through the same pitfalls I've been through.

Why Forex?

James & Anne Poindexter

I trade Forex because it gives me the ability to make my own schedule and offers time freedom. I enjoy being outdoors and doing extreme sports. I love competitive mountain biking, ultra endurance running, hiking and spending time with my beautiful wife. Trading gives me the time to enjoy the things I love.

I don't know any other business that offers the opportunity that Forex trading offers if done correctly. I like working from home or anywhere I can bring my laptop and have an Internet connection.

How I Personally Trade

I have traded one-minute charts up to weekly charts over the past six years. Individual trading style depends on the individuals personality and schedule. I stress to my students to trade the higher time-frames (1-hour to daily) to eliminate emotional trading.

I don't like sitting in front of the computer all day wathing charts. I did that in my early days and it really doesn't work for me. I only take trades that have the highest probability to be a winner and have a good risk vs. reward ratio. Daily charts are a great time-frame to trade if you have limited time.  You only need a few minutes each day to evealuate the pairs you are trading.

What Makes My Coaching Different?

I developed a step-by-step trading course which address all the issues that lead to traders NOT succeeding. The most common reason a trader fails comes down to trading psychology. Trading is 70% psychology and this is a direct correlation to the traders emotions that they are having. Every trader will encounter issues as they move towards their goals.
